IDF kills 2 Palestinian gunmen near Jenin

Two Palestinians, an Islamic Jihad gunman and additional gunman whose affiliation is not yet know were killed and at least two others were injured during an army operation in the town of Kabatiya, near Jenin. Sources in town said that the operative killed is 19-year-old Omar al-Sakhou. None of the troops was injured.
According to the Palestinians, some 20 IDF jeeps and vehicles raided the town early Tuesday morning in a bid to arrest wanted suspects. When the forces entered the town, Palestinian gunmen opened fire at the soldiers. The troops responded with gunfire, wounding several of the gunmen.
The Palestinians reported that soldiers conducted searches in several houses, and that at least one activist was detained. They said that the troops also took over some of the houses' rooftops, and added that the operation was continuing.
Earlier, Palestinian gunmen opened fire and tossed roadside bombs at an IDF force operating south of Jenin. None of the soldiers was hurt. The force identified two gunmen and returned fire.
In a separate incident, Palestinians in Qalandiya, south of Jerusalem, threw Molotov cocktails at an IDF force. There are no injuries. An IDF force in the Balata refugee camp identified an armed man and shot at him.
