(IsraelNN.com) In an interview in the London-based al-Hayat Arabic newspaper, Hamas politburo leader Khaled Meshal, who is based in Damascus, announced Hamas will never formally recognize Israel or the “occupation”.

Meshal stated that he would, however, accept a Palestinian state inside the post ’67 borders, adding there is a possibility of a hudna ceasefire with Israel, but the occupation must end.

The Hamas leader added that his organization is willing to make widespread concessions towards the establishment of a coalition government with Fatah.

While admitting the “Zionist enemy” does exist, he added he does not have to recognize that entity.
