Israel Once Again Caves In
Construction near Temple Mount Postponed 05:00 Feb 12, '07 / 24 Shevat 5767(IsraelNN.com) In the wake of a series of meetings with Arab leaders opposed to the construction project and Israeli officials, Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupolianski decided to postpone construction of a new bridge to the western retaining wall of the Temple Mount until opponents are given the opportunity to register formal complaints. He will make the building plans public in order to give anyone the opportunity to review and oppose the plan, and to kill rumors that the project would somehow undermine the Al-Aksa Mosque, located on the Temple Mount.
Israel’s Antiquities Authority, which is conducting a salvage dig to accompany the bridge construction, is not expected to halt its work.
Once again Israel has caved in to Arab pressure.
When will we have strong leadership again?
