Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Olmert had shown him photographs of the construction work, but had failed to convince him that it would not harm the holy sites there. Olmert agreed to a Turkish suggestion for a technical team from Turkey to inspect the site, Erdogan said.
Olmert said he agreed to the inspection because "Israel has nothing to hide." He added that the matter of the construction on the site had been miconstrued and presented in a tendentious way in the international media.
"The construction of this bridge next to the Western Wall has been taken out of context, but we will cooperate with everyone and will be happy to host the delegation in order to show that the Israeli story is correct and exact," he said.
Israeli Prime Minister Olmert needs to leave office as he has zero strength of character.
By giving into these demand by Turkey to inspect the construction at the Mugrabi gate in Jerusalem Olmert has show both himself and Israel to be unsure of our ownership of Jerusalem.
These inspections will do nothing to stop the threats and violence of the masses of immature Muslim idiots that really seek nothing more than to destroy the Jewish history in Jerusalem and all of Israel.
By destroying our history they will destroy our right to live in Israel and to have Jerusalem as our capitol, on these issues Israel must be as strong as possible so as to break the will of the Muslim mob.
They must see their will be broken with as much determination as we break the riots that they use to intimidate us.
Rioting on the Temple Mount must not be met with the minimum of force response by Israel but rather the maximum.
We must tell the Muslims before they riot, you riot we will shoot you down with live ammo and break the back of the riot in seconds. When the riots break out over our hard response we must respond the same way to every riot across Israel. Israeli civilians if stoned must also be given the green light to open fire.
We must show resolve on assert our right to not only Jerusalem but all of Israel as well.
