Diskin: PA Terrorists Using Ceasefire to Re-arm

(IsraelNN.com) Palestinian Authority terrorist organizations are using the opportunity created by the limited ceasefire negotiated between Israel and the PA almost four months ago to re-arm, according to General Security Services (Shin Bet) Director Yuval Diskin.

The security chief informed the Knesset Foreign Affairs Committee Tuesday that PA terrorists across the board are taking advantage of Israel’s promise not to carry out military operations in Gaza, smuggling in tons of explosives through the border with Egypt among other weaponry.

Hundreds of Kassam rockets have been fired at western Negev communities in Israel since the supposed ceasefire went into effect last November. Terrorist organizations are also working on ways to fine-tune the range of the homemade Kassam rockets, which have already exploded in Ashkelon a number of times so far this year.
