Moskowitz: Olmert Aide Pressured Him to Cancel Tender

(IsraelNN.com) Former Likud Central Committee member Avi Moskowitz said Thursday that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert’s top aide pressured him to cancel a tender or change commission members in order to allow friends to win the contract.

Moskowitz was serving as Deputy Director-General of the Postal Authority at the time. Olmert was serving as Minister of Industry and Trade.

Moskowitz said he was ultimately fired for not going along with the culture of political appointments that prevailed under Olmert. The Prime Minister is under investigation for past corruption.
