Bishara Probed for Taking Hizbullah Cash for War Info

(IsraelNN.com) Recently resigned Arab Knesset Member Azmi Bishara is under suspicion of having received a large amount of money from the Hizbullah terrorist organization in exchange for supplying it with information during last year's Second War in Lebanon. A Petach Tikva court Wednesday afternoon partially lifted a gag order on the inquiry. He allegedly pocketed the money in his personal bank account.

It also was revealed that Israeli authorities agreed to a request from Bishara to leave the country in return for a promise that he would return for a continued investigation.

He since has surfaced in Jordan and Qatar, where he said he is resigning from the Knesset, but there have been no statements that he would return to Israel.
