Barak, Ayalon Leading in Early Polls, Peretz Losing

(IsraelNN.com) Exit polls reveal the incumbent Labor party chairman Amir Peretz will lose the party leadership race, but there are conflicting results on who is leading. One poll by Channel One television gives former Prime Minister Ehud Barak a narrow lead over Knesset Member Ami Ayalon. Channel 2's poll puts MK Ayalon in the lead.

Neither of the leading candidates will win 40 percent of the ballots, and a run-off will be necessary to determine who will replace Peretz, according to the exit polls. Peretz was awarded less than 20 percent of the vote by both polls, and MKs Ofir Pines-Paz and Danny Yatom won less than 10 percent of the vote.

To bad the winner will be a left leaning person willing to sell Israel's future in order to chance the fantasy of peace.

Both Ayalon and Barak should be right wing in their views since both came out of command of some of the most elite units that Israel has to offer. Ayalon commanded the Israeli SEAL's and Barak commanded the Delta Force of Israel.

How these guys can turn out to be leftist idiots chasing the peace fantasy is beyond me, when will we have leadership that pushes the idea of victory over our enemies?
