Farfour Mouse dies in last episode

Jun. 29, 2007 20:38 | Updated Jun. 29, 2007 20:45 Farfour Mouse dies in last episode By ASSOCIATED PRESS GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip

Hamas TV on Friday broadcast what it said was the last episode of a weekly children's show featuring "Farfour," a Mickey Mouse look-alike who had made worldwide headlines for preaching Islamic domination and armed struggle to youngsters.

In the final skit, Farfour was beaten to death by an actor posing as an Israeli official trying to buy Farfour's land. At one point, Farfour called the Israeli a "terrorist."

"Farfour was martyred while defending his land," said Sara, the teen presenter. He was killed "by the killers of children," she added.

The weekly show, featuring a giant black-and-white rodent with a high-pitched voice, had attracted worldwide attention because the character urged Palestinian children to fight Israel. It was broadcast on Hamas-affiliated Al-Aksa TV.

Station officials said Friday that Farfour was taken off the air to make room for new programs.

Station manager Mohammed Bilal said he didn't know yet what would be shown instead.

Israeli officials have denounced the program, "Tomorrow's Pioneers," as incendiary and outrageous. The program was also opposed by the state-run Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation, which is controlled by Fatah.

Obscene

Katzav To Receive Full Retirement Benefits

(IsraelNN.com) Outgoing President Moshe Katzav will continue to receive the same benefits as every other retired President, despite his expected indictments next week on charges for sexual offense.

The law provides him with a $11,000 a month salary, expense for an apartment, a car and driver, two workers and security guards.

Obscene.

I know families that have 5-8 children that survive on less money for a whole year that this piece of garbage is going to get every month for just his salary. The total package will cost Israel depending on the exchange rate it works out to just a little more than $235,000 a year, in Shekels it is 1,000,000 a year.

Being an ex street cop I hate rapist, and understand Katsav is a rapist. I wish we could give Katsav the death penalty but he is not going to do a day in jail and he is going to rape the Israeli taxpayers every month for the rest of his life.

PM speaks of financial plans, Gaza and kidnapped soldiers at Caesarea forum in Haifa. 'Life in Israel has its risks' he says

There is no immediate solution for the security problems which plague the residents of the Gaza vicinity communities, said Prime Minister Ehud Olmert Thursday, speaking at the Caesarea Forum, held by the Israel Democracy Institute in Haifa.

"Life in Israel involves some risks," said Olmert, "But the risks we face here are far lesser than the ones threatening Jews around the world."

"The terrorists wish to bring Israel to its knees by hurting innocent people …by kidnapping soldiers and praying on the fact that we care for our people by releasing pre-recorded tapes and dictated letters.

"Israel will not give in to blackmail," said Olmert. "We will weigh our options carefully and balance our interests with the desire to free Gilad (Shalit) Udi (Ehud Goldwasser) and Eldad (Regev) as soon as possible."

This man is hurting the IDF and our soldiers, on the news in Israel young Israelis are saying that they do not wish to go to combat units because they see the government doing nothing to get our kidnapped soldiers back.

Then when you add into the mix Bibi wanting to bring Jordanian troops into Judea and Samaria it is just too much for some of our people to take. When soldiers are asking why risk our lives when we know the government doesn't have our back and in the end they will just cave into international pressure and give away gains paid for with the shed blood of our youth.

Why so the Cowards, Scum and Traitors can give away the country while building up bank accounts in Geneva.

The leadership of Israel can even rape our women and get away with it i.e. Katsav.

Why Not

Israel May Transfer Four Jailed Killers to Jordan

(IsraelNN.com) In its session on Sunday, the Israeli government will discuss a proposal to transfer four Jordanians who murdered two IDF soldiers 17 years ago to Jordanian jails, at the request of the Jordanian royal house.

Three of the prisoners – Salem Abu Jaloon, Khaled Abu Jaloon and Amin A-Sana'a crossed the Jordanian border into Israel on November 7th 1990. They encountered an IDF patrol and a firefight ensued, in which Cpt. Yehuda Lifshitz was killed. The fourth prisoner is Sultan Ajlooni, who entered Israel six days later, on November 13th 1990. He infiltrated an IDF position and killed First Sgt. Pinchas Levi. Ajlooni, who was a minor at the time, was also sentenced to life in prison.

The soldiers' families have been informed of the planned transfer. Cpt. Lifshitz's family has appealed to the High Court in the past against intentions of releasing their son's killers from the Israeli jail.

I see no reason not to let the Jew killing scum serve their time in a Jordanian jail. That is in keeping with a country that has lost its will to survive, I mean if the hero of the right Bibi is calling for Jordanian troops to occupy Judea and Samaria then of course their is nothing wrong with letting terrorist serve their time in Jordan.

On the other hand if Israel wants to survive, then why not take these terrorist out and shoot them for the crimes they have committed against the Jewish people.

I have had Israeli officers that currently serve in the IDF ask me in the last few days why they should stay in the IDF and put their lives at risk when the Knesset is caving in more every day.

Attorney General Menachem Mazuz will release at the beginning of next week the details of a plea bargain reached between former president Moshe Katsav and the Justice Ministry. He is expected to inform the multiple complainants Thursday regarding the revised indictment.

The Justice Ministry has confirmed that a plea deal was in the works, while the former president's attorneys declined comment.

I know plea bargains are a fact of life having been a Deputy Sheriff at one point in time in my life. How ever I do not like the fact that Katsav can enter into such an agreement, when a President of a country is accused of rape their should be a trial for the sake of the country and the office of the President.

Palestinian president asks Israel for permission to deploy in West Bank Palestinian forces based in Jordan as part of efforts to weaken Hamas Islamists there

President Mahmoud Abbas has asked Israel for permission to bring Palestinian forces based in Jordan to the West Bank to try to shore up his control after Hamas's Gaza takeover, Israeli officials said on Tuesday.

Abbas met on Monday with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheik, seeking support for the emergency government he appointed in the occupied West Bank after dismissing a unity cabinet led by Hamas Islamists.

"The Palestinians put in a request yesterday to transfer the Badr Brigade from Jordan to the West Bank," a senior Israeli government official told Reuters. "It is being evaluated and a decision will be made soon."

We already know that Bibi is in favor of bring in Jordanian troops, so what hope can we have that Olmert will not support this request.?

In 1991 I remember sitting in my neighbors house on the moshav watching the news, I was asked what the Madrid peace conference meant for Israel. I replied we are seeing the start of a process that will end the State of Israel.

If Israel allows Jordanian troops into Judea and Samaria (west bank) then the end for our State is very close.

May G-D grant us the mercy to bring about a new leadership made up of Jews that want victory over our enemies and are willing to bring the Cowards, Scum and Traitors that now sit in the Knesset to justice for their crimes against the Jewish people.

The time is long past for Israel to have a leader that will lead from the front and will stand up to the Palestinians, American Administrations and the Arab enemies of Israel.

Many of you are now thinking but what will the world think and would they launch a boycott against Israel?

Stop being cowards and risking the lives of our women and children in Israel because you are afraid to be men.

Israel with the help of G-d Almighty fought a war against all odds in 1948 and we were victorious.

In 1967 we stunned the World with a war that bears its name from the length of time it took us to defeat our enemies, the Six Day war.

Today in Israel it is June 27,2007, 30 years ago today terrorist took over an aircraft belonging to Air France and flew the plane to a small city in an African country. Their terrorist Arab and German separated the passengers into Jews and Gentiles. The Gentiles were set free so after a selection process that was hauntingly like that which had existed in the death camps of the Nazis Jews were once again in danger for having committed the crime of being Jewish.

Unlike what happened in Europe in our recent past on that day in 1976 existed a nation Israel which had an army the IDF, which had some units that contained some very special men that were brave enough to stand up to the world and say No More.

These men risked everything to bring a military victory over evil.

Where have these men gone?

Where are they today?

Some of them sit in the Knesset with names like Barak and Bibi, gentlemen what has happened to you?

Remember those glory days of the 1960s and 70s nobody really liked us just like today, but they feared and respected Israel and deep in their heart admired us for our bold leadership and actions..

Today our leaders want to be loved by the world, it will never happen.

So get over it, restore Israel to the state where we were feared and respected put the word victory back in your speeches.

(IsraelNN.com) During his concluding speech at the Sharm El-Sheikh four-way conference on Monday, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert announced his decision to release 250 terrorists from Israeli prison.

Candidates for release are those whose terrorist activities did not end in known deaths, and who were imprisoned for terror-related activities on behalf of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah faction. The released individuals will have to sign a commitment to refrain from further terrorist activities after their release.

How many times must we go down the same road?

We are once again releasing terrorist as a confidence building measure for the Palestinians.

What have the Palestinians ever done to give me confidence in any thing other than their desire to murder me and my family along with 6,000,000 other Jews of Israel.

What has an American administration done to give me confidence that they care about the spilled blood of Jews?

Even more important what has an Israeli Prime Minister done lately to give me confidence in the future for Israel?

Netanyahu: Deploy Jordanian troops in West Bank

During visit to Washington, opposition leader says Palestinians cannot impose order in West Bank alone, need Egyptian and Jordanian involvement; talks about Iranian threat with US VP

WASHINGTON - A Palestinian division of the Jordanian military should be deployed in the West Bank in order to bring law and order to the area , opposition leader MK Benjamin Netanyahu suggested Thursday.

During a visit to Washington, Netanyahu told Israeli reporters that Palestinians will not be able to impose order alone and require international assistance to do so. "We can't build up Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas with Palestinian forces alone. We need Egyptian and Jordanian involvement," he said.

"Egypt must block arms smuggling in the Philadelphi corridor, which is has not done to date. Jordan can and must support the effort with a measured security contribution in the West Bank," he elaborated.

"We need to consider a new role for Jordan, one of Jordanian support," he told Ynet. "Depending, of course, on the willingness of Abbas and (Jordanian king) Abdullah, we must begin to coordinate Israeli-Jordanian-Palestinian security cooperation."

This is the face of the right wing of Israel and the best Bibi can come up with is to ask Jordan to return troops to Judea and Samaria (west bank).

Does the great hope of the right Bibi, not remember that Jordanian troops used to fire from the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem into the western Jewish part of Jerusalem.

Where is the vision for a future that includes a strong Israel an Israel where the word victory if part of our vocabulary and part of the plan and how to move the nation ahead?

In addition, five Arabs were evacuated through the Erez crossing for medical treatment in Israel after they were wounded by Hamas terrorists.

Why are we so stupid?

Would America in 1943 allow food and midicine to enter either Nazi Germany or Japan?

Of course the answer is no, so why do we feel the need to do so?

I reject the answer because we are Jews and we value life, because this is the same as saying because we are Jews we need to be stupid when dealing with our enemies.

Jimmy Carter: Failure to Support Hamas

Jimmy Carter: Failure to Support Hamas 'Criminal'

(IsraelNN.com) Former US President Jimmy Carter said Tuesday that the United States, Israel and the European Union must stop favoring the Fatah terrorist group over the Islamist Hamas.

Carter called the Bush administration's refusal to accept the 2006 election victory of Hamas "criminal” and said Hamas had proven itself to have “superior skills and discipline" in its slaughter of Fatah in the recent Gaza clashes. "This effort to divide Palestinians into two peoples now is a step in the wrong direction,” he said.

Carter said that Hamas was elected in an "orderly and fair" election because it was "shrewd in selecting candidates." Carter made the comments at Ireland's eighth annual Forum on Human Rights.

If Jimmy didn't hate Jews so much he would have come to the correct answer, and that if Hamas is Fatah and Fatah is Hamas and don't try to divide what is not separate and deal with the Palestinians like the evil broken society that they are.

Bush and Olmert

Last update - 03:05 20/06/2007 Olmert: Cabinet to okay release of PA tax revenue By Aluf Benn and Shmuel Rosner, Haaretz Correspondents

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Tuesday in Washington that the cabinet would on Sunday approve the release of tax revenues collected by Israel on the behalf of the Palestinian Authority.

Speaking after a series of meetings in the White House, including a two-hour session alone with President George W. Bush, Olmert added that the new Palestinian government should be given assistance and a chance to succeed.

"The new Palestinian government deserves a chance, and also assistance," he said.

Olmert said that Israel would also agree to a "more far-reaching" removal of checkpoints in order to increase Palestinian freedom of movement inside the West Bank. Measures will also be taken to bolster the forces loyal to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, he added.

Referring to the Gaza Strip, Olmert said: "We will provide all that is necessary to meet humanitarian needs and we will not be indifferent. This suffering has been caused by Palestinians against their own people."

Regarding the plight of refugees waiting at the Erez crossing, Olmert said that anyone whom security checks prove is not a terrorist will be allowed to pass through.

Prior to their meeting, Bush and Olmert spoke to journalists at the White House. The president praised Olmert for being a strong leader committed to the security and prosperity of his country and to creating the conditions for peace.

He also pointed out that Israel and the United States share the vision of two states living side by side in peace and security. That vision, he said, is important to the moderates in both countries - "the ordinary Palestinians who need something to look forward to" and Israelis concerned that demographic pressure threatens their state's Jewish character.

Bush linked the Palestinian front in Gaza to other Middle Eastern fronts in which the U.S. is currently involved.

"It is interesting that extremists are assaulting democracies throughout the Middle East, whether this is in Iraq, Lebanon or the potentially democratic Palestine. We are in a monumental ideological confrontation," he said.

Following the Hamas takeover in Gaza, the speech that Bush was planning to make next week to commemorate the launching of his two-state vision has been canceled, and a planned visit to the region by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has been postponed.

I thought George Bush was a supported of democracy in the Middle East?

So why is the President of the United States and the Prime Minister of Israel supporting the losers of an election?

Their was a free and democratic election and Hamas won.

But again remember Hamas is Fatah and Fatah is Hamas it is only in the west that we want to play stupid games and say this terrorist good, while that terrorist is bad. They both want to murder 6,000,000 Jews and bring an end to Israel.

Since Arafat every time things got rough for the leadership of the PA they played the Hamas terrorist card. You better support us or these guys will take over and the west falls for it every time. Because in todays PC world it is easier to live a lie than to have to deal with the truth.

US Renews Aid to PA

US Renews Aid to PA

(IsraelNN.com) US President George W. Bush spoke to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and expressed support for the new PA and its Prime Minister, Salam Fayad. The US has pledged to renew economic support for the PA, now that it no longer includes the Hamas terrorist organization. During the conversation, Abbas encouraged Bush to push to restart the peace process with Israel and to give Arabs in Judea and Samaria a “political horizon”.

What did I tell you, we are all being played big time.

But America is going to push Israel to making a Palestinian State which will be a terrorist state for as you all know Hamas is Fatah and Fatah is Hamas.

Yoni On Gaza

After watching the situation in both Gaza and Judea and Samaria (west bank) I no longer think it was a Hamas action to solidify power.

I am reminded of the days of Yasser Arafat that when things got to tough for him he would pull the Hamas terrorist card out of his deck and turn it loose. America then would pressure Israel into giving up on a point of contention and also send money and weapons to Arafat.

We have seen Hamas “take over” Gaza, but we have seen no attempt to kill Abbas and we also have not seen large scale revenge killings in Judea and Samaria (west bank).

If this was not a staged event then we would have seen Fatah people take Hamas people into the streets of the major Palestinian cities and we would have seen thousands lined up against the walls and shot.

But the threat of Hamas taking over has resulted in America, Europe and Israel falling over themselves to give food, money and weapons to Fatah.

Let me tell the truth that George Bush and America has refused to see, Hamas is Fatah and Fatah is Hamas, 99% of Palestinians want every Israeli dead and Israel destroyed.

Israel should not send the IDF into Gaza if the rockets continue to fall on Israel.

Israel should shut off the water and electricity to Gaza and let the evil that is the Palestinian people suffer just as the Germans had to suffer for their sin of supporting the Nazis.

Last week before the drama in Gaza, Israel arrested two Palestinian women that tried to enter Israel from Gaza to kill themselves in a double suicide bombing. One of the women was nine months pregnant, how evil can a society become?

Before they have gone beyond the pale?

If the intended victims of this society are the Jewish people then apparently there are no limits and the brotherhood of man is willing to sit and watch from the sideline.

Again Gaza is a game and it has worked America and Europe have bought it and after 16 years of being beat over the head by a peace process Israel no longer has any leaders.

(IsraelNN.com) The Kuwaiti newspaper Al Siyasah reported Monday that the Katyusha attack which hit the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shemonah on Sunday was ordered by Syrian President Bashar Assad. The paper said that Assad was angered by the stance taken during a meeting of Arab League Foreign Ministers which promoted the further removal of Syria from Lebanese affairs.

A previously unknown terror group, the Jihad Badr Brigades, claimed responsibility for the attack. The Kuwaiti paper did not report how directly Assad influenced the attack.

Abbas' Men to Israel: Please Be Nice

Abbas' Men to Israel: Please Be Nice

(IsraelNN.com) According to Arab sources in the Palestinian Authority (PA), officials close to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas have asked the IDF to effectively cease its counter-terror activities in Judea and Samaria. Such a move, they said, would help the PA restore its authority and assist the new government headed by Salam Fayad in its struggle for popular acceptance over Hamas' government, led by Ismail Haniyeh.

According to Ynet, the PA officials want Israel to agree to stop hunting down wanted fugitives from Fatah, to stop entering PA controlled towns and villages and to cease arresting terrorist suspects, other than "ticking time bombs."

This request combined with the prior article about getting the cash flowing again from the world to the PA has me really thinking that once again the Palestinians are playing the world as suckers. This is an age old pattern when things get tough for the PA then the Hamas card is played and then both Israel and the world fold and the PA gets what it wants with zero reform.

If Abbas is not killed in the next 2 weeks max then it is all a game, to get the pressure off of the PA.

US Diplomat: Embargo on PA to Be Lifted

(IsraelNN.com) The US may soon lift its embargo on the Palestinian Authority (PA), a US diplomat told the Washington Times Sunday.

The US diplomat said the embargo could be lifted after the PA chairman appoints a government without the Islamist militants.

But the money is unlikely to reach Gaza, now controlled by Hamas and cut off from the rest of the world.

Since the election of Hamas by the Palestinian people, their has been a huge drop in aid from the world to the PA.
Last week we say Hamas "take over" Gaza with very little violence and Fatah just rolled over. Could this all be a ploy put together by Hamas and Fatah to do just what this article has said may happen getting the cash flow going again into the PA.

Two loud explosions were heard in the northern town of Kiryat Shmona Sunday afternoon after two Katyusha rockets or mortar shells were fired at the town. No injuries were reported.

One of the rockets hit a car at the town's northern industrial area, and the other landed in the southern part of town.

The residents had not been ordered to go into shelters.

The Northern Command estimated that the rockets were launched by a Palestinian organization operating in southern Lebanon, but did not rule out the possibility that the rockets belonged to Hizbullah.

However, other military source said the rockets were not launched by Hizbullah, but by Palestinian organizations.

At around 5:20 pm, residents of the northern town reported the sound of explosions. Rescue teams were dispatched to both locations where the rockets landed. It remains unclear who launched the rockets towards Israel.

Lebanese journalists estimated that a Palestinian organization launched the rockets as part of a struggle taking place near the border between extremist organizations and the Lebanese military.

They indicated that the “Fatah al-Islam” organization has said that its goal was to fight “the Zionists”.

“We were surprised by the rockets. Their origins are still not clear. I’m in contact with the security division in town, as well as with IDF representatives, and we will follow any order the army issues. I hope this issue is soon brought to the attention of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert who is in the United States, so that he can bring it up in Washington,” said Kiryat Shmona Mayor Haim Barbivai.

A Kiryat Shmona resident, Eshkol Levy, sold Ynet: I heard and witnesses the landing of two Katyushas, one in the town's northern industrial area. There was no warning."

Jun. 15, 2007 14:24 | Updated Jun. 15, 2007 15:49 'Multinational force must fight Hamas' By HILLARY LEILA KRIEGER AND AP

A proposed multinational force deployed along the Gaza Strip's border with Egypt must be willing to fight Hamas to stop weapons smuggling in the area, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni said Friday.

Livni said Israel was not interested in any proposal involving a monitoring force for the Philadelphi corridor where, she said, Hamas used tunnels to bring in weapons.

"Those who are talking in terms of international forces have to understand that the meaning is not monitoring forces but forces that are willing to fight, to confront Hamas on the ground," Livni said.

With leaders like this Israel may not survive for much longer, the time is coming fast when it will be clear to every one that G-D is what keeps Israel from being destroyed, not our leaders.

In 1967 Nasser kicked international forces out of the Sinai which brought us the 6 day war. Of course we have seen the success of UNIFL, United Nations Interim Force Lebanon has been at stopping Hizballah over the years.

We don't need the world to protect Israel we need Israeli leaders that have the courage to protect Israel.

Gaza resident speaks out against factional fighting, says situation in Gaza was better when Israel was in charge

“I’m afraid to say this out loud, they may execute me for it, but there are a lot of people, including myself, who think it would be better if Israel came back here. Things would be much better than they are now,” said Samara (alias), a graduate of the Islamic University living in the Gaza Strip.

According to Samara, who lives nearby one of the Fatah strongholds taken over by Hamas in recent days, fear reigns in Gaza’s streets, and apart from gunmen and military officials, no one leaves their homes.

“The children are afraid all the time,” Samara says. “My nephews ask, ‘Why are the Israelis shooting at us?’, and we tell them it’s Palestinians. Then they ask, ‘Why are Palestinians shooting at us?’, and I have no answer for them.

“We have no food at home. We’ve been living on soups and canned food for days. There is no electricity or continuous water supply, let alone medicine or essential hygiene products,” she explained.

The gun battles taking place in the streets keep all of Gaza’s residents in a state of constant fear.

“I hide in the house all day long, but even that might not be enough. Our neighbor was shot while he was inside. Men with black masks, weapons, and bags are walking around on the streets and I’m afraid to leave. They could shoot me – even if I’m not what they are looking for,” Samara said.

I was the first to use the term Hamasastan prior to the retreat from Gaza by Israel, part of what I said was going to happen has happened, the shooting of rockets into Israel from Gaza.

The second thing that I said was going to take place, was the take over of Gaza by Hamas. I also said that Gaza under Hamas was going to become the newest Islamic refuge. We will see Gaza become worse than Afghanistan was under the Taliban.

America has called on Israel to close down checkpoints in Judea and Samaria (West Bank), to give the Palestinians a greater degree of "freedom". Today we see what total freedom from the big bad Israel Defense Force gets the Palestinians.

As you all know I have called on Israel to fight a war against the Palestinians and I have stated many times they should never get a State of their own.

I must say that even though the Palestinians are an evil murdering people that yes are even more evil than the Third Reicht was, they deserve to suffer from the war that Israel should prosecute against them.

They do not however deserve what they will do to themselves.

A war with Israel will be fought within the rules of war, the rules at play in Gaza today are those of Islam.

Security Hamas Style

hamas border security.jpg

Here is the latest high tech border security as employed by Hamas to keep Fatah members from running like rats from a sinking ship.

Maybe they can give classes.

Fight On, Fight Hard

My source have told me that Israel until today was helping Fatah officers to escape Gaza and have moved them from Gaza to several hotels in Ramallah.

Which is why Hamas terrorist have moved into positions to close the exits from Gaza.

Hundreds of other Fatah have fled Gaza into Eygpt.

While in Shechem (Nablus) which is located in the norther portion of the west bank Fatah has killed a member of Hamas. Other actions against Hamas have included mass arrest including Fatah raiding a wedding party to arrest Hamas members.

In Jenin also in the norther portion of the westbank Fatah have burned an Islamic club associated with Hamas and have issued an ultimatum to the Alrazi Hospital which is associated with Fatah to remove all patients in the next day or Fatah will attack.

Brave men wanting to attack a hospital!

Fight on. fight hard I support your right to shoot each other down like the scum you are.

Hamas seizes PA intelligence materials, says Israeli tactics exposed

After storming PA security headquarters in Gaza, Hamas officials say they've uncovered thousands of documents, including classified correspondence with Israeli forces. Hamas: 'These will help us battle Israel's surveillance tactics'

After overtaking the Palestinian Authority's Preventive Security headquarters in Gaza City on Thursday afternoon, Hamas fighters report they have seized tens of thousands of highly valuable intelligence documents, including correspondence between the PA and others, including the CIA, regarding security issues.

A Hamas member told Ynet that he and his men removed thousands of documents, video tapes and other equipment from the compound: "I saw my name appeared at least four times in the intelligence documents – in attempts to take me out. I saw details of surveillance against me and joint Fatah-Israeli plans to thwart our attacks."

"These will help us battle Israel's surveillance tactics," he added.

"If we release these documents, the entire world will be shocked, not just the Palestinians. The dozens of armored vehicles, RPG launchers and rockets, the hundreds of thousands of bullets we have – they are all nothing compared to the documents and data discs we uncovered.

"There are video tapes of surveillance against our fighters and their homes, wiretaps on our calls, the PA's entire method of operation has been exposed," he said.

The implications of this may be huge. My sources tell me the CIA has been using the Fatah security office to run operations and now these documents have fallen into the hands of Hamas.

They will be able to roll up these operations which extend into Jordan and Egypt.

Even more important is that the revelation of these operations may and I stress may have the potential to be the start of events that could cause the governments of Egypt and Jordan to fall.

Shin Bet: Double suicide bombing foiled

Jun. 13, 2007 17:13 | Updated Jun. 13, 2007 23:05 Shin Bet: Double suicide bombing foiled By YAAKOV KATZ

Talkbacks for this article: 51

The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) said Wednesday that it thwarted a double suicide attack set for Tel Aviv and Netanya last month, orchestrated by Islamic Jihad and meant to be carried out by two Palestinian women, one of them pregnant.

One of the women, Fatma Zak, 39, a mother of eight in her ninth month of pregnancy, has been director of Islamic Jihad's women labor department in Gaza City for the past four years. As part of her job, she was in direct contact with senior terrorists and served as a go-between for women interested in becoming suicide bombers.

The second suspect is Zak's 30-year-old niece, Ruda Habib, a mother of four. Both were arrested by the Shin Bet at the Erez Crossing on May 20, moments before entering Israel.

The two women admitted the plot and confessed to being Islamic Jihad operatives. They said they had used Israel's humanitarian policy to acquire entrance permits on a false medical pretext.

The women said they had planned to blow themselves up in Netanya and Tel Aviv, respectively, in a restaurant or a wedding hall. They said they were instructed to cross into Israel and then contact Islamic Jihad members from Ramallah, who were supposed to guide them to their targets and supply them with explosive belts.

Before leaving Gaza, the women underwent training with Kalashnikov rifles.

What can one say about a woman in her 9th month of pregnancy wanting to blow herself up in order to murder Jews?

Published: 06/12/07, 10:56 PM Israel Won't Intervene as PA Civil War Claims More Lives by Nissan Ratzlav-Katz

(IsraelNN.com) In a pitched gun battle in Gaza on Tuesday night at least 21 members of rival Arab militias were killed. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that Israel was not going to get involved in the Palestinian Authority's civil war, which he described as being "between pragmatic and extremist Palestinian forces."

PA sources said that 11 of the dead from the most recent clash were members of the Islamist Hamas terror organization, while the other 10 belonged to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's veteran Fatah terror organization. The battle broke out in Jabaliya Tuesday night as armed Hamas and Fatah members vied for control of a local building belonging to an official PA militia.

With the latest carnage in Jabaliya, the number of fatalities in the last 36 hours of PA internecine fighting rose to at least 43. Senior terrorists in both Hamas and Fatah said Tuesday that their loyalists are prepared for an all-out war for control of the PA.

PA Chairman Abbas (Abu Mazen) characterized the series of violent clashes between Hamas and his own Fatah militias as "an attempted coup." The Fatah-run Al-Aksa Martyrs Brigades went on high alert, with the leadership calling on all members to go out into the Gaza streets armed and prepared to challenge gunmen from the Hamas.

I wish the Palestinians a long struggle that will keep them busy killing each other instead of murdering Jews.

I also wish Hamas victory in the end and an end to Abbas and Fatah.

Maybe then the world will stop playing games with Jewish lives, when they can no longer play the game of good terrorist, bad terrorist.

Rice Suggests Israel Free PA Tax Money

Rice Suggests Israel Free PA Tax Money

(IsraelNN.com) American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has clearly implied that Israel should release all or part of $700 million in tax revenues collected for the Palestinian Authority (PA) but withheld in order to keep Hamas from having access to money. The United States has led a boycott against funding Hamas.

However, she told The Associated Press, "I understand the Israelis' concerns about what might happen to tax revenue, but we think that there are mechanisms that they could use in the ways that they have in the recent past to support important activities."

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert acceded to her request several months ago to release almost $100 million tax in revenues. He refused last week to agree to free more money, leading Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to cancel a planned meeting with him.

Condoleeza Rice makes me wish that Albright was still the Secretary of State and that is pretty bad.

Why should Israel give money to terrorist .

So they can use the money to murder Jewish children, so they can make more rockets to fire out of Gaza into southern Israel.

The Palestinians have not once since they have made themselves into a people contributed anything positive to the world. All they have done is cause death and suffering. The real sad thing is it isn't just the Jews that these animals cause trouble for Black September in Jordan when the Palestinians tried to over throw King Hussein. It was the Palestinians that upset the balance in Lebanon that brought about the civil war and problems that exist to this day.

So I have an idea why don;t we give these animals some money so they can cause more problems.

Two-Thirds of Israelis Dissatisfied with the Democracy

by Hillel Fendel

(IsraelNN.com) An Israeli Institute for Democracy survey shows that 66% of Israelis are unhappy with the way Israeli democracy functions - but they're not leaving.

The latest annual survey, entitled "2007 Israeli Democracy Index: Cohesiveness in a Divided Society", finds that the proportion of those who are unhappy with Israel's democracy jumped by 12 percentage points over last year.

In general, the survey finds that Israelis are not proud of the way their country works - but do not want to leave, and are willing to fight for it if necessary.

Among the findings:

* 79% of those interviewed say they concerned with the current situation in Israel.
* 86% of state that the government is not dealing adequately with the country’s problems. Only 29% give credence to statements issued by the political echelon regarding Israel’s security.
* 70% agree that politicians tend not to take the average citizen’s opinion into account, and 68% believe that the people running the country are motivated by personal interests rather than the public good.
* Despite the above, 76% of Israeli citizens are proud to be Israeli, despite the current atmosphere, and 80% of Israelis want or seriously intend to continue living in Israel in the long term. Most Israelis deeply identify with the state and the problems that it faces, and are prepared to fight for their country should the need arise.
* Support for a "strong leader" is up. Those who agree that a few strong leaders would prove more useful to the state than all of the discussions held and laws passed now number 69%, compared to 60% last year.
* 75% of the respondents believe that there is a great deal of corruption in Israel.

Regarding Jewish-Arab relations, 87% rated Jewish-Arab relations in Israel as poor or very poor. Both Jewish and Arab respondents stated that they find it difficult to trust each other; 73% expressed the belief that the other side tends to behave violently.

Significantly, the report did not provide the breakdown of how many Jews felt Arabs are violent, and how many Arabs feel that way about Jews.

Trust in Government - Down
The authors of the report feel that its most conspicuous finding is a 22% decline in the level of trust shown by the public in the Prime Minister – 21% now, compared to 43% a year ago. However, trust in all government bodies dropped: Trust in the Supreme Court dropped to 61%, compared to 68% last year; the police - 41 (44 last year), IDF - 74 (79), Knesset - 74 (79), and the government - 31 (39). Trust in the media stayed basically the same, at 45%, compared to 44% last year. Trust in the President plunged drastically from 67% to 22% - an unsurprising finding, given the accusations against President Moshe Katzav.

The Supreme Court is perceived by 39% of the public as the institution that most effectively safeguards democracy, followed by the media at 34%, the Prime Minister at 14%, and the Knesset at 13%. A significant increase was registered in the degree of trust placed in the media as a means to safeguard democracy – from 25% to 34%.

The survey also found that 59% of those interviewed stated that they favor a socialist-economic approach over capitalism.

The Democracy Index is produced by IDI's Guttman Institute, by Yael Hadar and Nir Atmor under the direction of Professor Asher Arian. The Index includes data from a public opinion survey based on a representative sample of 1,203 interviewees in three languages, conducted by Machshov as well as assessments and comparative data from international research institutes.

The defense establishment successfully launched the Ofek-7 intelligence satellite early Monday morning. Professor Haim Eshed, head of the Defense Ministry’s Space Program, personally supervised the launch.

Ofek-7 was launched at precisely 2:40 am and is currently in orbit. A comprehensive test of its systems will be carried out in the coming hours. Israel is expected to begin receiving images within 48 to 72 hours.

The successful launch of Ofek-7 is particularly significant for Israel, following the failed attempt at launching its predecessor, Ofek-6 in October 2004, which plummeted to the sea.

Press slams gunmen for using TV jeep
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
JERUSALEM

Palestinian gunmen who used a vehicle disguised as a television truck to assault an Israeli military position drew sharp condemnations Sunday from journalists who charged that the incident, the first of its kind, would make their jobs more dangerous than ever.

In Saturday's attack, four gunmen drove a white jeep with press markings in English and Arabic up to the Gaza-Israel border, penetrated the border fence and assaulted a guard tower in what the terrorists and the army said was a failed attempt to capture an Israeli soldier. Israeli troops killed one gunman, while the others escaped.

The attackers, from Islamic Jihad and the Fatah movement of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, abandoned the jeep. AP photographs show a white armored vehicle of a type used by reporters, its windshield pocked by bullet holes, bearing red markings reading "TV" and "Press."

Reporters covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict often mark their cars to avoid being targeted. The incident Saturday marked the first time combatants have used press disguise in an attack in the last seven years of violence.

Nobody will be shocked at the use of a jeep marked TV Press by terrorist after all they have been using both Red Crescent and U.N. Ambulances for years to transport terrorist and weapons. But of course all this means nothing to every President that has sat in the White House since Jimmy Carter or to the EU as a whole, they still move forward with the idea of giving the Palestinians a State from which to base their terror attacks.

IDF troops kill armed Palestinian in West Bank

IDF troops kill armed Palestinian in West Bank raid By Amos Harel, Haaretz Correspondent and The Associated Press

Israel Defense Forces troops shot dead an armed Palestinian and wounded another Friday night, when they came across suspected militants engaged in target practice near the West Bank town of Hebron, the military said, adding that the wounded man escaped.

Residents of the village of Tufah, west of Hebron, said the men were local hunters out looking for game in the dark.

No IDF soldiers were wounded in the incident.

I know this area very well and their is nothing to hunt in terms of wild life in the middle of the night. The area however has been used for years as a place for terrorist to practice. I have spent many a night in the area working to find the source of gun fire or even motor rounds being fired.

Good work lads!

Sheikh Salah : the ZOF is digging a network of tunnels under Al-Aqsa Mosque and the old town

Sheik Ra'ed Salah noted, the leader of the Islamic movement in the occupied land in 1948, to what the Zionist newspapers mentioned. The Zionist newspapers said that the Zionist entity began in new digging works in the city of Jerusalem. He said" it is just part of the diggings under Al Aqsa mosque. The Zionist government is trying to conceal it".

What was announced is little something comparing with the tragedy under the Al Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of Jerusalem. He explained that the Zionist occupation authorities are currently digging a network of tunnels under the mosque and around the Old City to link the "Silwan" neighborhood south of the old city with some of the Zionist ministries and institutions in Al Magharba gate.

Salah stressed that the Zionist occupation authorities allocated a very large financial budgets and announced a full year beginning on the 5th of this month (June), which come upon the fortieth anniversary of the occupation of Jerusalem, to revive local and global activities under false slogans aimed to Judaize the Jerusalem and declared it as the united capital of the Zionist entity.

Salah explained that the activities began with the arrival of tens of thousands of Zionist rightist to Jerusalem and started to powwow a religious festivals. They announced that they will attend to bring three thousand to blow in the trumpet on the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, in addition to other provocative activities.

Sheikh Raed Salah asked "If the occupation, which has a false dominion, is doing these activities seeking to impose its presence in Jerusalem by force, what is the role of the Islamic, Arab nations who has the right legitimate in the Jerusalem and Al Aqsa Mosque?".

He expressed his sorry for the Arab silence despite all the Zionist crimes committed against the city of Jerusalem, demanding the Arab and Islamic nation with practical actions to support Jerusalem.

Just thought I would give a taste of some of the rubbish that Hamas puts out on one of it's web pages.

Whores, Not Torah Sages

Shas Rabbi Yosef Backs Peres; Rivlin Not Giving Up

(IsraelNN.com) Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef has announced his support for Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres as the next President of Israel. The five-year term of suspended President Moshe Katzav ends next month, and the Knesset will choose between three candidates in a secret ballot next week.

The Shas Council of Torah Sages exalted Vice Prime Minister Peres for his "years of work for the sake of Judaism." Rabbi Yosef's support gives him a significant boost, but Likud candidate Knesset Member Reuven Rivlin remained optimistic. "I have support from MKs in every faction," he stated. Rabbi Yosef's decision was against the position of Shas party chairman and Industry and Trade Minister Eli Yishai, who supports MK Rivlin.

This is beyond my ability to stay nice, I was a long term Shas voter.

Never again will they receive a vote from me. Give me a break Shimon Peres has never worked for Judaism or Jews. He has only worked for his own self aggrandizement.

Money to be made he pimps for the Palestinians with his Center For Peace, which banks in the Cayman Islands due to their strong privacy laws on banking.

Peres turned over to the Americans the documents that Jonathan Pollard gave Israel so that America could lift Pollard's finger prints from the document in order to strengthen the governments case against Pollard.

Shas Council of Torah Sages give me a break it is a council of whores.

When Will Israel Learn

Israel Eyeing Arms Transfer to Abbas

(IsraelNN.com) Israel may decide to allow surrounding Arab countries to transfer thousands of weapons and ammunition to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah terrorists, according to a report in the Jerusalem Post.

The PA chairman sent a wish list of weapons to General Keith Dayton, the security coordinator between Israel and Gaza, several weeks ago. The list included thousands of rifle magazines, hand grenades, Kalashnikov automatic rifles and millions of bullets.

General Dayton reportedly handed the list to Egyptian officials, who would provide the material, and to Israel’s Defense Ministry, which was requested to approve the transfer.

When will Israel learn to treat the Palestinians and I mean all Palestinians for what they are enemies of the Jewish people.

Letting any part of the Palestinians obtain more weapons is insane, what happened ?

Has Fatah and Abbas gone out of the Jew murdering business?

Abbas is Arafat with a $2000 suit and a shave but he was Arafat's right hand man for decades which put him at the heart of terror directed against the Jewish people.

Israel should give Abbas one last bullet, fired from an Israeli sniping rifle.

Former Intelligence Head: Don't Let Arabs Sleep in Gaza

(IsraelNN.com) The former chief of IDF military intelligence said Wednesday afternoon that Israel "should not let them sleep in Gaza" so long as terrorists do not allow Sderot residents to sleep.

Reserve Major-General Aharon Ze'evi-Farkash explained that Israel must make the Palestinian Authority (PA) understand in its own language that continued attacks on Israel cannot be tolerated.

I would also add to this don't let them have water or electricity both of which are supplied by Israel to the Gaza Strip. If Israeli's are suffering because of the actions of Palestinians then let Palestinians suffer also.

Why

Funds Transfer to PA on Olmert-Abbas Agenda

(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert might agree to transfer tax revenue funds to the Palestinian Authority at his meeting with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas on Thursday.

Israel has been withholding the funds since the Hamas terror organization took control of the PA government in January 2006.

According to a Reuters news report, the prime minister may agree to transfer between $300 to $400 million to the PA.

Why.

When rockets are falling on Israel we would even think of giving these animals any money is beyond me.

What we should do is give them a bill for what our security cost Israel defending against terrorism in Gaza, Judea and Samaria (west bank). We then could tell them that the $400 million is just a down payment on what they owes Israel.

Peres Candidacy Delays Ethics Probe

Peres Candidacy Delays Ethics Probe

(IsraelNN.com) The Knesset Ethics Committee decided to delay its investigation into an ethics complaint against Vice Premier Shimon Peres in order not to dampen his chances of winning the presidential election this month.

The hearing was to be held on a corruption complaint filed against Mr. Peres in connection with fund raising for a past primary election while he was still a member of the Labor Party.

You would think that they would want a candidate that didn't have any ethics problems after what Israel has been through with President Katsav.

The problem is that Peres because of his pimping for the Palestinians for years has millions of dollars that he could use if he wanted to. For gaining the votes needed to become President.

How many members of Knesset would be willing to vote for Peres if they were to be given a gift?

Dead Iraqi's matter more to the USA than dead Israeli's.

Gov't Trying To Halt U.S. Pressure for More 'Good Will'

(IsraelNN.com) Government officials have been talking with leaders in the Bush administration in an effort to halt increasing pressure for more "good will" measures, such as removing checkpoints and roadblocks in Judea and Samaria. The discussions are a prelude to a planned meeting on June 19 in Washington between Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and American President George W. Bush.

The State Department several weeks ago drew up a schedule for Israelis easing of travel for Palestinian Authority (PA) Arabs without any specific actions by the PA to halt terrorism.

"The American schedule would spell 'security abandon,'" one government official stated.

Walling Out the Bad Guys

Walling off vulnerable Baghdad neighborhoods is critical to breaking the cycle of revenge killings in Iraq, according to U.S. Army General David Petraeus' counter-insurgency advisor.

Portable barriers installed between neighborhoods enable U.S. and Iraqi forces to limit the nighttime movements of death squads and insurgents, says Dr. David Kilcullen, a lieutenant colonel in the Australian army reserve who has spent years studying terror groups and methods for defeating them.

"What we've tried to do is put in a series of blocks to stop that cycle [of violence] from running, and if it does run, to reduce the number of people killed in attacks" by limiting the scale and frequency of attacks, Kilcullen explains.

He uses the term "gated community" to describe the walled-off neighborhoods. The first to be enclosed was Sunni community of Adhamiyah in April. The decision to wall of a particular area is made by the U.S. battalions on the ground.

Not everyone was thrilled by the Adhamiyah barrier. "This will deepen the sectarian strife and only serve to abort efforts aimed at reconciliation," a Sunni shop owner told The New York Times.

Noting such objections, Kilcullen stresses that the walls are temporary. He compares them to tourniquets. "It's something you do when patient is bleeding to death. But you don't leave it there forever or it causes damage."

"We had 130 bodies turning up per day in Baghdad due to sectarian violence last year. Now it's around 20," he says, adding that the negative psychological effects of the barriers are outweighed by "the negative effects of people getting killed."

Barriers are only one tactic of the new U.S. approach in Iraq, Kilcullen says. He also cites smaller, dispersed patrol bases, a renewed reconstruction effort and stepped-up air patrols, all intended to "reduce feelings of intimidation" among everyday Iraqis and therefore "create more space for compromise and political reconciliation."

Dead Iraqi's matter more to the USA than dead Israeli's.

It is time for Israeli leaders to wake up and to look to the future and either redefine the nature of the relationship that Israel has with America or to have the courage to tell the American Administration keep your money and we will go our own way.

This has to be part of a multi year strategy that Israel builds towards for with friends like these in the State Department and the White House we will join a long list of other friends that in the end were sold out by political considerations in Washington D.C.

PA Satisfied With the Clash With Israel

Published: 06/04/07, 10:47 PM PA Satisfied With the Clash With Israel by Nissan Ratzlav-Katz

(IsraelNN.com) The Palestinian Authority is pleased with the course of its current warfare against Israel, according to IDF intelligence. The PA is further convinced that Israel will not send serious ground forces deep into Gaza.

Reporting to the Knesset Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee on Monday, the head of the IDF Intelligence Corps' research division, Brigadier-General Yosef Beiditz, said, "The recent escalation began as an internal clash between Hamas and Fatah, with Hamas prevailing."

When the Hamas recognized that the clash with Fatah was fomenting dissatisfaction among the Gaza populace, Brig.-Gen. Beiditz explained, "the Hamas decided to redirect the violence towards Israel.... They are thus far pleased with the results of the conflict with us. They understand that Israel will not undertake a ground operation deep into Gaza. And they are also pleased with the emptying of the towns in the south [of Israel]."

The IDF officer concluded his report on developments in Judea, Samaria and Gaza with a warning that the Hamas is still intent on carrying out a "high-quality" terrorist attack, such as another kidnapping.

Also present at the committee meeting was Defense Minister Amir Peretz. He said that the IDF operations in Gaza will continue as planned. The Hamas, Peretz declared, would not determine when there will be a ceasefire. "We will cease our forces' operations only if we come to the conclusion that the Hamas has ceased using Israel as a the solution to all of its problems."

The Hizbullah is Preparing a Possible Summer Offensive
Regarding the threat from Lebanon's Hizbullah, Brig.-Gen. Beiditz said that the terrorist organization was continuing to improve its physical position and abilities. Armed Hizbullah forces are located in open areas south of the Litani River, according to Beiditz, where they are operating out of sight of United Nations troops stationed in the region.

"The Hizbullah is preparing itself for a move that may take place in the summer," the Brig.-Gen. said, adding that there is also evidence that Syria is preparing for just such an eventuality. Included in the Syrian preparations, Beiditz suggested, was the possibility of a direct clash with Israel. Syria is "increasing weapons purchases and training exercises. While there is no change in the deployment in the Golan Heights, which is a defensive array, [Syria] could improve its positions and deploy offensive capabilities."

Of course Hamas is pleased with their conflict with Israel, for as long as Israel is hit with Qassam rockets and we do nothing in return beyond PR strikes they are winning.

Every body likes to win with the possible exception of Israeli members of Knesset that only care about winning the right to keep their fat rears in the chairs of the Knesset but today care nothing about Israel winning.

As long as we don't really loose in what they view as a big way they are willing for the people of Israel to suffer from daily rocket attacks coming out of Gaza.

Where is just one member of Knesset that shouts from the podium of the Knesset we must go to war against the evil that attacks us every day and nothing short of victory is our goal.

Sadly their is no such member.

A long-wanted terrorist chief captured this week by Israeli forces was trained by the US, served in a senior capacity on Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas' US-backed security detail, and was a ranking member of a team that received and distributed American arms shipments the past two years, the WND has learned.

Khaled Shawish, an officer in Abbas' Force 17 presidential guards, was arrested Sunday by undercover Israeli police forces following scores of shooting attacks Shawish is suspected of carrying out.

The Brigades, the declared "military wing" of Abbas' Fatah party, took credit along with the Islamic Jihad terror group for every suicide bombing in Israel the past two years and for multiple deadly shootings and rocket attacks.

After the Kahane murder, Shawish was extended refuge by Arafat to live in the late PLO leader's Ramallah compound, widely known as the Muqata.

Weapons arrived through Jordan-Israel border

Shawish continued the past seven years to live some of the time in the Muqata, from which, according to Israeli security officials, he directed the Brigades to carry out scores of shootings against Israelis driving on West Bank roads.

According to Israeli and Palestinian security sources, Shawish, as a member of Force 17, received US training in 1997 at an American managed military base in the West Bank city of Jericho. The base continues to train Force 17 members. Multiple other Brigades members who also double as Force 17 officers previously received US training.

The US in recent months reportedly transferred large quantities of weapons to Fatah, purportedly to back Abbas' military organizations in recent deadly clashes against Hamas.

The last confirmed US weapons transfer to the Palestinians took place last May and consisted of 3,000 assault rifles, but WND reported multiple other transfers later were delivered to Fatah, including a cache of 7,000 rifles last January and about 8,000 assault rifles in February.

The weapons mostly arrived in convoys through the Jordan-Israel border and were then reportedly trucked by the Israeli Defense Forces to the Gaza Strip and to Ramallah. According to Palestinian sources, the Ramallah shipments were received at the Muqata and at a neighboring Force 17 base.

The sources said Shawish was part of the Force 17 team that inspected and distributed the American weapons to other Fatah militia members. According to the sources, Shawish himself has taken possession the past two years of multiple American assault rifles.

Fundamentalists in Gaza threaten to behead 'immodest' women broadcasters

Radical Islamist group Swords of Truth, responsible for internet cafe bombings, threatens specific group for first time

A Muslim extremist group threatened to behead female TV broadcasters if they don't don strict Islamic dress, leaving the women terrified and marking a further downward spiral in Gaza's anarchy.

The threat to "cut throats from vein to vein" was delivered by the Swords of Truth, a fanatical group that
has previously claimed responsibility for bombing Internet cafes and music shops.

The new threat was the first time the organization targeted a specific group of people, and adds to a growing climate of extremism, fear and suspicion in Gaza.

In many parts of the Muslim world, religious conservative policies keep women out of TV anchoring positions or only let them take the jobs if they wear headscarves. But in some countries scarves are uncommon, like Lebanon and Jordan, and Egypt even keeps newscasters who wear them off its TV stations.

Most of the 15 women broadcasters on government-run Palestine TV wear headscarves. But they also wear makeup and Western clothing, which is not considered strictly observant by the extremists.

The Swords of Truth issued the statement Friday in an e-mail sent to news organizations. "We will cut throats, and from vein to vein, if needed to protect the spirit and moral of this nation."

The group accused the broadcasters of being "without any...shame or morals" and said it knew where to find the women.

Prior to the statement, some women broadcasters said they had received personal threats through their mobile phones. It was not clear if those threats were from the same group.

One anchorwoman who does not wear a headscarf said she was too frightened by the threat to go to work on Saturday.

"It's a dangerous precedent in our society. It will target all working women," said the broadcaster, who
declined to give her name out of fear. "The statement frightened us."

Another presenter who wears a headscarf, on Palestine TV, said she couldn't understand why they were targeted. "I hope they take it back. I hope not a bullet will be fired at us," she said.

Basem Abu Sumaya, head of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation, which runs Palestine TV, said that the PBC already had security measures in place, but could not protect people on the way to work.

The PBC is bankrolled by Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and is accused of openly exhibiting support for the Fatah movement.

This is not the first display of recent Islamic extremism in Gaza. Only last month, Muslim hardliners lobbed a bomb at a UN-run school, accusing the world body of "turning schools into nightclubs" for holding a display of traditional Palestinian dancing.

Yes George Bush is insane if he still thinks that the Palestinians deserve a State of their own. It would be a terrorist fundamentalist Islamic State and the creation of such a State would make a mockery out of the war in Afghanistan and every American soldier that fell to bring freedom from tyranny would have died in vain
