Abbas' Men to Israel: Please Be Nice

(IsraelNN.com) According to Arab sources in the Palestinian Authority (PA), officials close to PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas have asked the IDF to effectively cease its counter-terror activities in Judea and Samaria. Such a move, they said, would help the PA restore its authority and assist the new government headed by Salam Fayad in its struggle for popular acceptance over Hamas' government, led by Ismail Haniyeh.

According to Ynet, the PA officials want Israel to agree to stop hunting down wanted fugitives from Fatah, to stop entering PA controlled towns and villages and to cease arresting terrorist suspects, other than "ticking time bombs."

This request combined with the prior article about getting the cash flowing again from the world to the PA has me really thinking that once again the Palestinians are playing the world as suckers. This is an age old pattern when things get tough for the PA then the Hamas card is played and then both Israel and the world fold and the PA gets what it wants with zero reform.

If Abbas is not killed in the next 2 weeks max then it is all a game, to get the pressure off of the PA.
