Peres Candidacy Delays Ethics Probe(IsraelNN.com) The Knesset Ethics Committee decided to delay its investigation into an ethics complaint against Vice Premier Shimon Peres in order not to dampen his chances of winning the presidential election this month.
The hearing was to be held on a corruption complaint filed against Mr. Peres in connection with fund raising for a past primary election while he was still a member of the Labor Party.
You would think that they would want a candidate that didn't have any ethics problems after what Israel has been through with President Katsav.
The problem is that Peres because of his pimping for the Palestinians for years has millions of dollars that he could use if he wanted to. For gaining the votes needed to become President.
How many members of Knesset would be willing to vote for Peres if they were to be given a gift?
