Last update - 00:01 05/07/2007 High Court approves transfer home of four Jordanians serving life By Yuval Yoaz, Haaretz Correspondent and The Associated PressThe High Court on Wednesday rejected an appeal against the transfer of four Jordanian infiltrators serving life for killing two Israel Defense Forces soldiers to complete their terms in Jordan, according to a court document.
Supreme Court President Dorit Beinisch and Justices Miriam Naor and Elyakim Rubinstein ruled the issue touched on the state's external relations and thus is for the government's consideration, and not the court's.
The justices said this is a clearly political subject, and stressed that the High Court has strictly refrained from interfering in decisions relating to political agreements.
The prisoners were expected to be sent to Jordan on Thursday.Beinisch referred to the possibility that the men will be freed when in Jordan: "I assume the government exerted itself in the agreement arranged with the Jordanian kingdom to ensure the prisoners involved will not be granted pardons, but the details give an impression the commitments the Prime Minister received on this subject will only last for a limited period."
Why play a game by entering into an agreement with Jordan that sets a time frame for when these terrorist can be set free?
We all know that as soon as the terrorist hit Jordanian soil they will not be spending any time in jail.
How can the government keep asking our sons to serve in the IDF if they set murdering scum like this free or if we allow captive soldiers to sit for a year without freeing them. Just so nobody misunderstands me by freeing them I don't mean letting more terrorist go free I mean by using YAMAM to go get them. (YAMAM is the hostage rescue unit of the Border Police)
