Published: 07.16.07, 18:26 / Israel NewsPalestinians in northern Gaza fired three Qassam rockets towards Sderot just hours after Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas concluded a diplomatic meeting in Jerusalem.
One of the rockets directly hit a Sderot home, causing structural damage and leading one person to suffer shock.
Two more rockets landed in open areas near the Sha'ar Hanegev regional council.
The Qassam landed in an area which has suffered from rocket hits in the past.
Moshe, who lives opposite the house that was hit, told Ynet: "We heard a really loud explosion. It was louder than ones we've heard in the past. I went outside to see if anyone was wounded.
"I saw a black cloud of smoke coming from the house and severe damages. Within a few minutes rescue teams arrived. Even though it's been quieter lately, we live in fear that Qassams will fall, because we know it will never be quiet here," Moshe said.
"It's a disgrace that they are releasing prisoners and giving Abbas weapons, which in the end will be used to hurt us," he added, referring to the Israeli administration's decision to free 250 Palestinian security prisoners as a goodwill gesture to Abbas.
