Attack Thwarted, Five Terrorists Killed

(IsraelNN.com) IDF soldiers thwarted an attack on Kissufim crossing in Gaza on Thursday afternoon. Several terrorists drove towards the crossing in two vehicles, intending to kill soldiers and possibly blow up the crossing. Soldiers fired on the vehicles, as did IAF aircraft.

Five terrorists were killed. Soldiers are examining the vehicles to see if either was to be used in a bombing.

Spokesmen for Islamic Jihad and Fatah’s Al Aksa Martyrs’ Brigades took joint credit for the attack. The groups claimed that the terrorists had successfully infiltrated an IDF base while driving a truck full of explosives. Fighting continued well after the initial attack, they said.
