Update: Terrorist Fugitive was Pardoned by Israel

(IsraelNN.com) A terrorist fugitive arrested on Sunday night near Shechem had been pardoned by Israel and removed from Israel’s “wanted” lists, according to local Arabs. Locals identified the man as 22-year-old Faris Mansur, a member of Fatah. The terrorist was previously identified as Faris Abu Ghanem.

Mansur was arrested after taking part in shooting and bomb attacks in the Shechem area. Soldiers found two guns and several bombs in the building in which Mansur was hiding.

The Almagor group for victims of terrorism issued a statement on Sunday night calling on the government to freeze plans to release terrorist prisoners, saying that many return to terrorism despite their promises, as did Mansur. 179 Israeli citizens have been murdered by freed terrorist prisoners in the past five years, the group says
