The Palestinians are ready to yield parts of the West Bank to Israel if compensated with an equal amount of Israeli territory, the lead Palestinian negotiator told The Associated Press in an interview Wednesday.
Ahmed Qureia, a former prime minister who has dealt with five Israeli prime ministers during 14 years of failed peacemaking, is trying again with No. 6, Ehud Olmert.
And he's full of optimism, saying the US-hosted Mideast conference in Annapolis, Md., tentatively set for Nov. 26, is a "very, very, very important opportunity." If it fails, he predicts Israelis and Palestinians will perhaps suffer more than in the blood-soaked years following the unsuccessful Camp David summit in 2000.
Qureia is issue threats to Israel if you don't give us what we want we will play the terrorist card.
If Israel had a real Prime Minister he would tell the Palestinians if you don't stop terrorist 100% we will turn the IDF loose and we will destroy your society for ever, and as far as a Palestinian State you can for get it Oslo is dead.
The best you can hope for is to live in peace as permanent residence in Judea and Samaria or you can leave Israeli land and seek your fortune else where. But don't threaten us or it will be rivers of your blood and your towns which will be reduced to rubble.
