Traitors On The Bench?
PA to Israel ‘Repeal Embargo on Produce from Gaza’
(IsraelNN.com) Five petitions against the government ban on importing produce from Gaza will be heard by the High Court of Justice on Wednesday, with Palestinian Authority Agriculture Minister Mahmoud Habash at least as invested in the outcome as the petitioners. Israel invoked the ban as part of its sanctions against the Hamas terrorist organization which now controls Gaza.
Habash asked Israeli Agriculture Minister Shalom Simchon to repeal the ban in light of agreements signed between Gaza farmers and Israeli business owners to provide fruit and vegetables during the shemitta year, when Jewish land must lie fallow.
Habash’s request was conveyed to Simchon through a third party. The Agriculture Ministry said the two men may meet later this week to discuss the matter.
When this case comes to the High Court tomorrow, does anyone want to bet that the anti Jewish High Court will side with the Palestinians.
This issue should not even come to the High Court, the court should reject this case on the grounds that it entails national security.
