Public Security Minister Wants To Postpone Olmert Probe
(IsraelNN.com) Public Security Minister Avi Dichter, whose ministry is responsible for the police department that is conducting a criminal investigation of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, said that the Attorney General should postpone further probes until the end of the Prime Minister's term of office.
He also said that Prime Minister Olmert should not suspend himself so long as he thinks is innocent. "Olmert is the only man who knows how true the suspicions against him are. So if he feels that he's being wrongfully suspected or accused, he has no reason to step down," he told the Hebrew newspaper Ha'aretz.
Dichter should be removed from his post for voicing this obscene idea.
He is the Minister that is responsible for insuring public order and he has no morals when it comes to corruption.
We must remember that Dichter was the head of the Shaback before he entered the Knesset and we must wonder what kind of a leader he was then is he thinks this way.
Did he when he was the head of Shaback make any business deals with top ranking Palestinians like so many others that were high ranking Shaback members?
As long as we have people in the Knesset with a world view like Dichters Israel will never be free of corruption and the problem of the attitude of members of Knesset that they are above the law and that the Israeli public owes them something rather than the idea of them being public servants.
