Published: 11.12.07, 21:38 / Israel NewsFollowing a meeting held Monday between the Israeli and Palestinian negotiating teams, Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat described the session as "difficult" and said the officials had not yet begun drafting a joint document expected to be presented at the conference in late November.
"The problem over the content of the document has not yet been resolved," Erekat told said, adding that the negotiating teams planned to meet again on Tuesday.
Deepening diplomatic disagreement ahead of the conference, Erekat publicly rebuffed Israel's demand that it be recognized as a Jewish state. While recognizing the right of Israel to exist, Erekat said: "The Palestinians won't accept Israel as a Jewish state."
The hope is that even an idiot like Olmert would tell America and the Palestinians that without the commitment of the Palestinians to the simple fact that Israel is a Jewish State then Israel will not attend the "peace" conference.
Of course I think even with this commitment Israel should never attend any peace talks since we have never gained a thing from any peace talk in our history.
