With the details still not 100% clear, I can report that Yamas the under cover unit of the Border Police were carrying out an operation in Bet Lehem and they came under small arms fire from what at first report appears to be Palestinian Police.

The first reports tell me that as of this time no Israeli police officers were wounded or killed while the Palestinians have sustained several casualties.
