At least 10 people suffered shock after a Qassam rocket hit Sderot Monday
evening. One woman sustained mild injuries while attempting to take cover.

The rocket landed in a local yard, causing some damage to a nearby building.

The Popular Resistance Committees and Islamic Jihad's military wing, the
al-Quds Brigades, claimed responsibility for the Qassam fire.

About half-an-hour later, seven rockets landed in open fields in the western
Negev area. No injuries or damage were reported.

The rocket barrages at the western Negev have continued throughout the day.
Two Qassams were fired at Sderot at about 5 pm, and one landed near a house
in town causing slight damage. Another Qassam landed at approximately the
same time in an open field in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council, causing no
injuries or damage.

Two hours earlier, two Qassam rockets fired from the Gaza Strip hit a
kibbutz in the Shaar Hanegev Regional Council, one of them exploding near a
clinic.

Four residents suffered from shock and were treated to by Magen David Adom
paramedics. Another rocket landed at the entrance to the kibbutz.

Earlier, two additional rockets landed in the Sdot Negev Regional Council.
There were no reports of injuries or damage.

The al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad's military wing, claimed
responsibility for firing the rockets.
