Commander Who Failed to Confront Terrorists Dismissed

(IsraelNN.com) The commander of the 9th armorred battalion was dismissed from his post Monday due to his failure to confront the Arab terrorists who infiltrated from Gaza and carried out an attack at the Nahal Oz fuel depot.

Two Israeli civilians were murdered in the attack.

An internal IDF probe found the commander and his soldiers were stationed just 150 meters from the depot. The commander, nevertheless refrained from ordering his men to attack.
