Report: U.S. Delaying Information on Olmert, Talansky
(IsraelNN.com) The United States Justice Department is intentionally delaying approval to open financial and legal records concerning the investigation against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, according to the Hebrew newspaper Yediot Aharonot. The files include information in documents that relate to American businessman Morris Talansky, who has testified that he gave or funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash to the Prime Minister. The newspaper cited Israeli legal sources, who declared that the Bush administration does not want to hasten the probe and possible indictment against Prime Minister Olmert.
This is what taking American money gets, a perverted sense of justice. Where for the birth of a new terrorist state President Bush is willing to conceal evidence from the Israeli police.
The time has long past to bring to an end this relationship involving billions of dollars and with it the ability to be treated like a banana republic.
