A Hamas terrorist was killed on Wednesday night during a joint IDF-Border Police-Shin Bet arrest operation in the village of Kufr Dan, near Jenin.

The man, Talal Saed Talal Abed, was shot in the neck when he tried to evade arrest, the army said.

Soldiers attempted to treat him at the scene, but he died on the way to Afula's Haemek Hospital.

Abed was part of a Hamas terror cell in Kufr Dan that attempted to dispatch a suicide bomber to Israel, said the IDF.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, an Israeli bus was damaged by stones thrown by Palestinians south of Hebron. No one was wounded.

Meanwhile, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salaam Fayad warned that IDF operations in the West Bank were hampering his administration's effort to improve security in the territory.

Earlier in the day, IDF troops raided the city hall of the West Bank city of Nablus, confiscating five computers in what appeared to be part of an ongoing crackdown on institutions Israel thinks are linked to Hamas. This week, troops have raided and shut down various Nablus facilities with links to Hamas.

The operations "undermine grossly our efforts aimed at rebuilding our capacity and re-establishing law and order," Fayad told a news conference in the West Bank city of Ramallah with Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini.
