Ground War
I am against the up coming ground action in Gaza.
I am against this action for several reasons, first as late as the end of last week, Israel was feeding the terrorist of Gaza. Second the politicians have not stated what the goal of the operation is, so how will Israel know if the operation is a success or failure.
I would support a ground action in Gaza under the following conditions, first cut Gaza off 100% from the outside world for up to two months. This means no food, water, industrial supplies or even medicine into Gaza.
When the air force reports that for a period of two to three weeks no live stock has been seen in Gaza then and only then should Israel enter on the ground.
This will mean that our enemy has been weakened to the point that our casualties will be as low as humanly possible. The leaders of Israel have no right to put our son's at higher risk in war, if they can lower the risk.
Second Israel must state what our goal of the operation is. Do we want to occupy Gaza? Do we want to force the Arabs of Gaza out? Do we want to stop the shelling of Israel, for how long? What are we going to do if we leave Gaza and the shelling resumes?
All of these questions must have clear answers, so we can hold the Prime Minister and Defense Minister responsible for their actions.
