Two rockets fired by Palestinian gunmen in northern Gaza exploded in the southern Israeli city of Kiryat Gat for the first time Friday afternoon. Three people sustained minor injuries in the attack, while at least two others were treated for shock. Severe damage was caused to shops located in close proximity to the landing site.

One of the rockets landed near a large medical facility, but none of its patients were hurt.

A short while later a rocket landed in Ashdod, directly hitting a factory. There were no reports of injury, but damage was caused to the structure. Another projectile fired from Gaza at around 3 pm landed in the yard of a house in the southern city; no injuries or damage were reported.

False alarms were heard in Beersheba and Ashkelon.

The attacks on Israel began in the early morning hours, when five rockets fired from Gaza landed in open areas in the Negev's Eshkol Regional Council. No injuries or damage were reported.

We are in day 21 and Hamas has struck has reached out to strike targets at even greater distance than they have in the past.

It is time for Israel to escalate the operations in Gaza even more.

The mission must remain no more rockets from Gaza being fired into Israel.
