The Israel Air Force successfully targeted sites in the southern Gaza Strip
tonight, in a joint IDF-ISA operation.

The attack is in response to Palestinian rocket fire against Israeli
communities in the northwestern Negev region in the last few days.

More than 20 rockets and mortars were fired at Israel since the beginning of
the year.

The IDF will continue to operate firmly against anyone who uses terror
against the State of Israel. Hamas is solely responsible for maintaining
peace and quiet in the Gaza Strip.
