Shots were fired Sunday night at an IDF jeep traveling along Israel's border with Egypt not far from where terrorists infiltrated last month, killing eight Israelis.
Military sources said that the shots were fired from inside Egypt at the IDF vehicle.
No injuries or damages were reported.
The shooting took place near the Netafim Crossing, the site of the infiltration by a group of Palestinian and Egyptian terrorists into Israel on August 19.
The IDF has been on high alert along the Egyptian border since the attacks near Eilat and has significantly beefed up forces and surveillance equipment there.
